Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Java to design and implement scalable software for our IT Operations platform. You will contribute to new features and support existing functionality across a cloud-based service in AWS, serving millions of endpoints.

We value experience in large-scale data handling, asynchronous design, and client-server architectures. The role offers a hybrid remote option within the USA and offices in Austin, TX, and Tampa, FL for a preferred hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of Java software development experience for product applications.
• 5+ years of experience with highly scalable systems.
• Strong knowledge of OOP design principles and RESTful API design (Spring).
• Proficient in relational database design and development; experience with caching.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of large-scale software applications with a quality-first approach.
• Influence critical architectural decisions to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Own technical initiatives and drive improvements based on data from support teams.
• Focus on delivering robust, high-performance software with strong quality assurance.
• Contribute to additional responsibilities as needed to support the team’s success.
