Job summary

Harness Software Engineering Insights (SEI) is a deeply technical product team enabling engineers to turn SDLC data from tools like Jira and GitHub into actionable metrics. You will work on a system that processes millions of events and connects to 40+ developer tools.

You’ll tackle data modeling, systems design, developer UX, and secure cloud integrations to help thousands of developers build faster, better, and smarter, in an environment that values code quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience building highly scalable, distributed applications in Java.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and maintain critical software in a fast-paced quality conscious Java environment.
• Author software functional specifications and design documents for features developed.
• Understand complex systems/code and own key pieces of the system, including quality.
• Work in an agile environment with iterative development and customer feedback.
• Design and implement scalable backend software solutions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems in distributed computing environments.
• Perform peer reviews of specs, design, and code.
• Collaborate with SRE/DevOps and cross-functional teams to deploy software and troubleshoot production issues.
