Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Consumer and Community Banking/Deposit 2.0 team in a seasoned role on an agile squad. You will design and deliver trusted, scalable technology products in a secure environment, contributing to multiple business functions and critical technology solutions.

You will create secure production code, leverage AI-assisted tools, and drive improvements through data-driven insights while adhering to security and resiliency requirements.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience coding in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools and ability to evaluate AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure handling of data.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and debugging with ability to tackle non-routine problems.
• Produces secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that integrate with existing systems.
• Uses enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, with peer review and automated testing.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to enhance automation and value.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met.
• Gathers and analyzes data to visualize and report on improvements for software applications and systems.
• Identifies hidden problems in data and uses insights to drive coding hygiene and architectural improvements.
