Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer III on the Consumer and Community Banking/Deposit 2.0 team to design, build, and deliver secure, scalable software in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Hands-on design, development, testing, and operational stability experience.
• Experience coding in modern programming languages and querying languages in large corporate settings.
• Experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools with ability to evaluate AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency and security expectations.
• Solid knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Strong grasp of Agile methodologies including CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• Experience using AI coding assistants and coaching teams to adopt these tools.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to tackle non-routine problems.
• Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with supporting systems.
• Uses enterprise AI coding tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity with peer review and secure coding.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge, including AI-assisted development, to boost automation value.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met.
• Gathers and analyzes large data sets, producing visualizations to inform continuous improvement of software.
• Identifies hidden data patterns to drive improvements in code hygiene and system architecture.
