Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Senior Java Developer for the Thematic Core Services team in Texas. You will design and deliver scalable API-driven microservices, collaborating with architects, product teams, and engineers to enable growth and exceptional client experiences.

You will mentor teammates, optimize performance, and advance development practices while leveraging Java SE/EE, Spring, Hibernate, and RESTful services in a collaborative, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional Java software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java SE/EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and RESTful web services.
• Experience designing and developing APIs and scalable backend applications.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Object-oriented design, software design patterns, and analytical problem-solving.
• Experience in Agile or Scrum environments.
