Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Contact Center Technology team. This on-site role involves designing and developing scalable Java applications with Spring/Spring Boot, building high-volume REST APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements, architect solutions, and provide production support. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Hands-on Java and Spring Framework experience
• Experience with Spring Boot and RESTful services
• SQL and relational databases knowledge
• Experience with automated testing, Git, Bamboo, CI/CD
• Experience with Agile development
• Ability to deliver independently and collaborate with stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience deploying on PCF or cloud platforms
• Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ and MongoDB preferred
• Experience with Jira/Confluence for enterprise apps

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using Spring and Spring Boot
• Build and integrate REST APIs for high-volume transactions
• Translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions
• Own features through design, development, testing, deployment, and support
• Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews
• Create technical docs, diagrams, and API specifications
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, and distributed teams
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and drive performance improvements
