Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a senior software engineer to lead end-to-end delivery of initiatives within Sales and Service Technology. You will design scalable architectures, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to deliver high-quality web platforms.

Expect to work on on-site teams in Southlake, TX, applying Java/Spring, Angular, and cloud services to modernize a legacy system and improve client-facing workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in computer science or related field.
• 6+ years building large-scale, highly available systems with Java, Spring, cloud development, and web services.
• 4+ years with containers and microservices in cloud environments.
• 4+ years with Angular including component-based architecture, RxJS, routing, testing, and performance tuning.
• 4+ years delivering applications through CI/CD pipelines with focus on quality.
• 2+ years with PCF, AWS, or GCP.
• 2+ years with MongoDB, Aerospike, Redis, and SQL Server.
• Strong OO design and problem solving; collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery for smaller initiatives end-to-end.
• Translate requirements into scalable designs and guide development.
• Mentor and support junior engineers to grow team capability.
• Apply sound technical judgment in a fast-paced environment.
