Citi is seeking a skilled Java Developer at the Assistant Vice President level to design, build, and maintain high-quality backend applications that power financial systems used at global scale. Based in Irving, Texas, you will work within a collaborative technology team, contributing to the full software development lifecycle with autonomy and technical ownership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Java development with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Web, and Spring Data.
• Advanced core Java knowledge: threading, collections, JDBC, OOP, SOA.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerized apps.
• Design and deliver microservices and SOA with REST.
• Experience with CI/CD and Agile lifecycle.
• SQL knowledge; Oracle dialect preferred.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java and Spring Boot components with minimal oversight.
• Build and maintain backend services including RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Write unit, integration, and performance tests with JUnit and Mockito.
• Conduct peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and bottlenecks; implement remediation.
• Adopt emerging tools and methodologies to raise delivery quality.
• Engage with internal teams to assess requirements and support enterprise systems.
