Job summary

Citi seeks a Backend Java Developer- Assistant Vice President to lead design and implementation of enterprise-grade backend services. The role involves collaborating with technology teams to deliver scalable Java solutions, shaping architecture, and mentoring junior analysts in a hybrid work environment in India.

The candidate should have deep experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and modern data/storage ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of robust enterprise Java design and development experience.
• Experience with Kafka, MQ and MongoDB in distributed architectures.
• CI/CD pipelines using Lightspeed; deployment on OpenShift.
• Familiarity with AI-powered developer tools (GitHub Copilot) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in feasibility studies, time/cost estimates, IT planning, and risk considerations.
• Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java and microservices architecture.
• Coordinate with technology and business teams; provide user/operational support for applications.
• Contribute to security measures and post-implementation reviews.
