Job summary

Aquent is partnering with a leading financial services client to evolve core applications into a unified, modern platform. You will lead technical initiatives, shape architecture, and mentor engineers across frontend and backend teams.

You will drive design decisions, improve reliability, and deliver secure, high-performance software while aligning with the company’s strategic vision in a global enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-based development experience.
• Experience mentoring junior developers and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of complex multi-platform applications.
• Coach a scrum team on Java and Cloud Development platforms across frontend and backend.
• Ensure code quality, unit testing, and best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and foster continuous improvement.
• Create high-level designs and architecture documents for approvals.
• Provide leadership to the development team and coordinate with offshore teams.
• Champion security and build robust, scalable solutions.
• Configure automated CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments.
• Write comprehensive unit tests.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and align with leadership goals.
