BCforward seeks a Senior Java Backend API Engineer to join our Chandler-based team on a contract basis. The role focuses on designing and building RESTful APIs, Java/Spring Boot microservices, and data pipelines for scalable backend services in a containerized cloud environment.

You will deploy and operate services using Docker and Kubernetes, contribute to frontend-backend integration, and work with CI/CD pipelines while ensuring security and reliability in distributed systems.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of backend Java experience.
• Extensive Java/Spring Boot API experience.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Kafka and data pipelines.
• Containerized deployments with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Proficient in Git and CI/CD workflows.

Aufgaben

• Design, implement, and maintain versioned RESTful APIs with proper semantics and error contracts.
• Build Java services using Spring Boot with tests.
• Apply OAuth 2.0/OIDC, JWT security.
• Engineer resilient microservices with timeouts, retries, and circuit breakers.
• Deploy and operate services with Docker and Kubernetes in CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to data pipelines and enterprise reporting.
