Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Senior Software Engineer III in Cincinnati to design, develop, and support scalable Java applications. The role emphasizes Spring Boot microservices, AWS cloud services, Terraform IaC, and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines across the SDLC.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of Java experience, strong OO design, and proficiency with REST APIs and relational databases. This contract position spans ~2 months with a competitive hourly pay range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional Java development.
• Strong Java 8/11/17 and OO design.
• Hands-on microservices with Spring Boot.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and API integration.
• AWS services and Terraform experience.
• CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Git and relational DBs (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications.
