BairesDev, a global technology company, seeks a Backend Engineer (Java) to design and develop scalable microservices and REST APIs using the JVM and Spring Boot. You will work on robust server-side logic and data integration across distributed services.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in backend development, strong Java/Spring Boot skills, and experience with Docker, Kafka, and SQL. This remote role offers USD compensation and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Backend software engineering.
• Strong Java 11+ (17/21 preferred) and Spring Boot.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Solid knowledge of JPA/Hibernate and SQL databases.
• Containerization with Docker and event streaming with Kafka.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance microservices and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Manage data persistence and complex SQL queries with JPA/Hibernate.
• Develop and maintain real-time data pipelines with Kafka.
• Ensure code quality and reliability with unit testing (JUnit).
• Containerize apps and manage deployment with Docker across environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements for large-scale integrations.
