BCforward is seeking a Senior Java Enterprise Software Engineer / Backend Developer to join our team in Newark, DE. You will design, develop, and maintain high-volume, secure web services using Java/J2EE and Spring ecosystem.

Ideal candidates have deep experience with RESTful and SOAP web services, unit testing, and modern backend patterns. This contract role requires collaboration, rigorous testing, and delivering robust software on schedule.

Formación

• Strong experience with Java/J2EE and Spring ecosystem.
• Design, code, and unit test solutions with maintainable interfaces.
• Experience building high-volume, secure web services.
• Familiarity with SOAP and RESTful APIs; JSON/XML.
• Proficiency with version control and CI tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
• Design, code, and unit test solutions with clear, maintainable interfaces and successful integration into the application ecosystem.
• Apply development and testing practices for web applications.
• Contribute to story refinement and definition of requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Estimate work across the delivery lifecycle and guide the team on scope and approach.
• Perform spikes or proofs of concept to mitigate risk and vet new ideas.
• Utilize multiple architectural components across data, application, and business layers in solution design and development.
• Assist the team in resolving technical complexities and implementation challenges.
• Contribute to integration, regression, and performance test suites, analyze reports, and triage issues.
• Document and communicate information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
