Job summary

Maryland Transportation Authority seeks a Senior Intelligent Transportation Systems Engineer to lead ITS planning, design and implementation across toll, fiber, signaling and related systems. You will supervise engineers, develop plans and estimates, and manage contracts for complex transportation projects in Baltimore region.

The role reports to the ITS and Electrical Discipline Manager and may offer hybrid telework; a bachelor's in engineering and 7+ years of professional experience are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Seven (7) years of professional engineering experience; two (2) years in ITS design and management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of engineers in planning, design, and implementation of ITS programs.
• Write engineering specifications and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with MDTA disciplines and respond to RFIs from contractors.
