Job summary

Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to manage and design ITS and electrical work for transportation facilities, structures, and equipment in Baltimore, MD. The role involves coordinating with in-house engineers and outside consultants on large capital projects.

You will oversee electrical studies, prepare cost estimates, review construction documents, and liaise with utility companies while fielding site visits and project meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical studies.
• Project manager for large ITS and Electrical capital projects.
• Design coordination and review of study reports and design drawings.
• Review construction documents including RFIs and submittals.
• Review SOW for ITS/Electrical on-call tasks.
• Coordinate with utility companies for power, energy, and communication needs.
• Coordinate with ITS/Electrical engineers and MDTA stakeholders; attend project meetings.
• Prepare engineering and man-hour estimates for ITS/Electrical tasks.
• Perform field visits to facility locations with consultants/contractors.
