The Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) in Washington State seeks an IT Vendor Management - Senior/ Specialist to lead software licensing, vendor contracts, and software asset management within the TBM program. The role requires independent analysis, negotiation, and strategic recommendations to optimize IT software investments in alignment with agency goals.

The position supports a hybrid work model with a focus on cost control, compliance, and long-term technology strategy, serving

Qualifications

Ten or more years of relevant IT experience with vendor management and software licensing.
Proof of advanced Excel and data analysis skills is preferred.
Eligibility to work in the United States and state government procurement familiarity.

Responsabilités

Lead vendor relationship management for enterprise software suppliers and service providers.
Coordinate software contract renewals, amendments, maintenance agreements and subscriptions.
Negotiate pricing, licensing terms, service levels and contract provisions.
Identify risks in vendor deliverables and develop mitigation strategies.
Develop cost estimates and budget projections for planned software acquisitions.
Advise leadership on software investments, compliance risks, and optimization opportunities.
Establish and improve vendor management procedures, standards, and governance.
