Washington State Department of Labor & Industries in Tumwater, WA seeks an IT Vendor Management Senior/Specialist to lead enterprise software vendor relations, licensing, and financing strategies. You will set standards for software procurement, renewals, and lifecycle management, advising executives on cost-effective investments and compliance across agency IT assets.

You will negotiate contracts, monitor licensing compliance, and coordinate with Contracts & Purchasing to align vendor services

Qualifications

• Ten years of qualifying experience in a professional IT environment.
• Four years of professional IT vendor management, contract administration, software asset management, software licensing management, technology procurement, supplier relationship management, or technology financial management.
• Three years of experience performing cost management or financial evaluation related to IT products, software assets, contracts, or technology investments.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel experience capable of handling large data sets and complex formulas.
• Education may substitute for IT experience up to six years for a master’s degree, up to four years for a bachelor’s degree, and up to two years for an associate’s degree.

Responsabilités

• Lead vendor relationship management activities for enterprise software suppliers and technology service providers.
• Coordinate software contract renewals, amendments, maintenance agreements, and subscription services.
• Negotiate pricing, licensing terms, service levels, and contract provisions.
• Identify risks associated with vendor deliverables and develop mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate vendor procurement activities with Contracts & Purchasing staff.
• Develop cost estimates and budget projections for planned software acquisitions.
