Job summary

NerdsToGo is seeking a Level 2/3 Senior Technician to join our team in delivering advanced technical support and managing complex projects for residential and small business clients across the country.

The Senior Technician will lead tasks in managed services, execute projects independently, and guide Level 1 technicians while maintaining high standards of service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience providing technical support, preferably in a managed services environment.
• A+ certification or strong PC troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with routers, firewalls, TCP/IP, WAPs, wireless devices.
• Ability to convey IT value and make sales recommendations to customers.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows OS, Windows Server; Mac experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers in-store, over the phone, and on-site to provide advanced solutions.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers.
• Perform advanced PC hardware and software troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
• Execute data recovery, loss prevention, and advanced network installation tasks.
• Administer Microsoft 365 environments, including user management and security settings.
• Manage Active Directory and Azure AD environments.
• Work with cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud to support customer solutions.
• Plan and execute productivity suite migrations with minimal downtime.
• Scope, design, and implement LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructures.
• Conduct security and risk assessments for client environments.
• Utilize PSA and RMM tools to monitor, manage, and resolve alerts.
• Collaborate with Level 1 Technicians to provide guidance.
