Job summary

Information Technology Services of the State of Idaho is hiring an IT Systems and Infrastructure Engineer III in Boise. The role focuses on managing on‑premise AD, Group Policy, Windows Servers, and cloud services such as Entra ID, AWS, and M365.

Responsibilities include email administration, DNS/Infoblox, PKI, patch management, and Tier 3 break/fix support. A fingerprint background check is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or 4+ years IT experience in last five years.
• Experience planning, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting network/server/storage systems.
• Experience resolving network or server problems.
• Experience working with end users to develop IT solutions in a business environment.
• Experience as a technical lead implementing or supporting network/server/storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides hands-on systems administration and management of enterprise server infrastructure 24/7/365.
• Direct customer support for problem resolution and escalation.
• Diagnoses technology problems considering technical architecture.
• Contributes to design and technical insights.
• Coordinates hands-on work to achieve project objectives in the field.
• Produces technical documentation and user manuals; follows change management policies.
