Job summary

Blue Cross of Idaho is seeking Common Services Engineers to design, develop, maintain, and support software systems and infrastructure. The role is hybrid, onsite at Meridian Idaho campus with local work-from-home options.

Required education includes a Bachelor’s or an Associate’s with additional experience; 2+ years in software design/development and familiarity with UI Path, SAFe, and AI tools. The team uses Service Now, GitLab, AWS, Jira, Snowflake, Confluence, and SharePoint.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field or equivalent work experience
Associate’s degree in CS/EE/IS + 2 years additional experience
2+ years’ design or development of software applications, systems, or related experience incl. UI Path / RPA

Responsibilities

Configure, monitor, manage, and troubleshoot software systems and infrastructure.
Research, implement, monitor, patch, and troubleshoot various systems and technologies.
Develop tools and scripts to support build and release processes and CI/CD initiatives.
Automate deployment processes and develop automation tools.
Ensure integrity of builds and artifacts.
Create test processes and automation strategies.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts to reduce manual testing.
Participate in full development lifecycle including requirements analysis and design.
