Job summary

Idaho State Board of Education in Boise is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, develop, and maintain proprietary web applications and data systems that support Idaho's K-20 education data management.

You will lead project activities, collaborate with subject matter experts, ensure security and code quality, and translate requirements into scalable solutions using C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, and SQL Server in a Boise-based, state employment role.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building data-driven web applications and APIs.
• Ability to gather requirements, translate into technical designs, and estimate effort.
• Strong coding, testing, and production deployment skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops code for new or existing .Net web applications and services.
• Update and debug .Net applications interfacing with education longitudinal data systems.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders, gather requirements, and design solutions.
• Ensure security, perform code reviews, and troubleshoot issues.
