Job summary

Fanning Howey seeks an experienced Sr. IT Systems Administrator to join our Information Technology team.

This hands-on role focuses on solving complex technical issues and helping employees maximize the technology they use daily. You will ensure the security, reliability, and performance of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, and related environments, collaborating with the IT team, staff across the firm, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
• Manage Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including group policy and lifecycle processes.
• Support MFA, conditional access, RBAC, and other security controls.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for hardware, software, network and authentication issues.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding and maintain IT asset documentation.
• Participate in backup, archival, and disaster recovery planning/testing.
• Assist with migrations, deployments, upgrades, and IT projects.
• Collaborate with staff, vendors, and partners to resolve tech needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
• Manage Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including user and group administration, Group Policy, authentication, permissions, and identity lifecycle processes.
• Support multi-factor authentication, conditional access, role-based permissions, and other security controls.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts and assist with maintaining secure technology environments.
• Provide advanced Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for hardware, software, network, authentication, and other complex technical issues.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding and maintain accurate IT asset and system documentation.
• Administer and monitor backup, archival, and recovery systems and participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 migrations, technology deployments, upgrades, and other IT projects.
• Work with employees, departments, vendors, and service providers to troubleshoot issues and support technology needs across the firm.
