Job summary

Orthopaedic Specialists of Austin is seeking an IT Support Specialist II to deliver advanced technical support across a multi-site orthopedic practice in Texas. You will manage workstations, servers, networks, cybersecurity tools, healthcare applications, and EMR/PACS systems while mentoring junior staff.

You will coordinate with clinical teams and vendors, ensuring HIPAA-compliant handling of data and efficient IT operations to support patient care and clinical workflows.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Relevant certifications required: CompTIA Network+, Security+/A+.
• Minimum 5+ years progressive IT support/systems administration experience.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Experience in healthcare, HIPAA-regulated environments strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting multi-site organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1–Tier 2 support for hardware, software, network, and systems issues.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, VoIP phones, and peripherals.
• Support Microsoft 365, remote access tools, and healthcare applications.
• Administer Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD, MFA, and user accounts.
• Monitor system health, uptime, and capacity across locations.
• Coordinate with vendors and clinical leadership to minimize downtime.
• Develop technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
