Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC in Hawaii seeks a Senior PC Specialist to deliver comprehensive IT support in a military hospital setting. You will install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, operating systems, and peripherals, while ensuring secure daily IT operations and customer service excellence.

Work closely with Site Manager and technical teams to manage service requests, network accounts, and cybersecurity compliance.

Qualifications

Active Tier III Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain the required background investigation and eligibility determination.
5+ years of relevant IT support experience, preferably within enterprise, military, or DoW environments.
Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.
Experience utilizing IT service management (ITSM) platforms and ticketing systems to document, track, and resolve technical issues.
Knowledge of network account administration, user access management, and basic network troubleshooting.
Familiarity with DoW IT policies, cybersecurity awareness requirements, and regulatory compliance standards.
Experience maintaining technical documentation, tracking service requests, and supporting end-user technology needs.
Ability to provide technical assistance in a structured, security-conscious environment while following established procedures.
Previous IT support experience within a military hospital, medical treatment facility, or other DoW healthcare environment.
Experience using the Army Training Certification Tracking System (ATCTS) or comparable cybersecurity training and compliance platforms.
Familiarity with military personnel transitions, including PCS, TDY, and deployment-related network account requirements.
Experience supporting enterprise-level desktop environments, network account administration, and IT service delivery.
Knowledge of DoW cybersecurity policies, Information Management Division (IMD) procedures, and user compliance tracking.

Responsibilities

Provide daily IT support under direction of Site Manager and designated technical leadership.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, operating systems, software, and peripherals.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system performance issues.
Provide end-user support via telephone, email, and on-site.
Manage and document IT service tickets with resolutions.
Assist with network account creation, modification, and access management per security policies.
Monitor cybersecurity training records and network access policies.
Coordinate with DoW facilities for PCS/TDY deployment-related access requirements.
Perform routine equipment maintenance including printer/scanner tasks.
Review system error messages and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
Assist with software testing, system updates, and configuration changes.
Maintain technical documentation and end-user self-service resources.
Track issues through resolution and support service quality initiatives.
Compile operational statistics and reporting for management.
