Job summary

Human Rights Campaign is seeking a Senior IT Support Specialist in Washington, DC. You will provide advanced technical support, bridging end-user needs and enterprise IT operations, with emphasis on Microsoft 365, endpoint management, and security practices.

You will collaborate with IT leadership and MSPs to ensure reliable, secure services, while delivering training and knowledge resources. This role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• . Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience with 4+ years in IT support.
• . ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+ or comparable certifications preferred.
• . Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows OS, Entra ID/AD, endpoint management, and security best practices.
• . Experience with PowerShell and IT service management practices; able to coordinate multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1–3 support, escalations, and ensure timely resolutions within SLAs.
• Own specialized service areas such as enterprise applications, MDM, or security awareness to improve delivery.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop, Teams, Google Workspace, Zoom and endpoint tech.
• Create knowledge base articles, FAQs, and user documentation to promote self-service.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues on server/network monitoring and maintenance tasks.
• Deliver user training on IT systems, cybersecurity, and collaboration tools.
• Communicate with leadership and stakeholders to manage expectations and satisfaction.
• Support IT projects and coordinate with MSPs to maintain seamless service delivery.
• Mentor junior staff with troubleshooting techniques and best practices.
• Travel to events to provide AV/technical support as needed.
