Job summary

University of Kansas is seeking a Student IT Support Technician to join the Edwards Campus in Overland Park, Kansas. The role supports end users and campus staff with Windows, Mac, and Linux systems, hardware imaging, and basic ticketing.

This on-site hourly position requires strong communication, customer service, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with negotiable hours to fit class schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience using Windows, Mac and/or Linux operating systems.
• Experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues.
• Experience working in a customer service centric environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to campus support staff when requested.
• Install, upgrade, image, and configure computer hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Maintain accurate hardware inventory.
• Provide basic technical support via phone, email, chat, or in person.
• Create and update support tickets in ticket management system.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
