Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior IT Category Manager to lead sourcing and vendor governance for IT hardware, software and services. You will collaborate with business owners and contracting teams to reduce total cost of ownership while ensuring vendor obligations align with our requirements.

This hybrid role involves developing category strategies, running RFPs/RFIs, evaluating market dynamics, and managing supplier relationships and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in sourcing/category management.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish sourcing strategies for IT hardware, software and services
• Conduct sourcing events with RFP/RFI/RFQ
• Develop bid documents and manage performance metrics
• Analyze market dynamics and provide optimization recommendations
• Lead vendor negotiations and contract compliance
• Coordinate vendor risk assessments and relationship management
