Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior IT Category Manager to lead sourcing and vendor governance for IT hardware, software, and services, driving total cost of ownership improvements.

You will partner with business owners, vendors, and the Corporate Services Vendor Contracting team to analyze, negotiate, and document vendor contracts, while mitigating risk and aligning with business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and vendor governance activities for assigned IT categories (hardware, software, services).
• Develop and implement binding RFPs, RFIs, RFQs and evaluation criteria.
• Analyze market dynamics and provide TCO-based optimization recommendations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to source IT products/services using proven tools and processes.
• Lead supplier relationship management and vendor negotiations.
• Coordinate and host vendor reviews and risk assessments.
• Ensure contract compliance with Corporate Compliance, Legal, Audit and Risk Management.
