Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior IT Category Manager to lead sourcing and vendor governance for IT categories, including hardware, software, and services. The role focuses on reducing TCO and mitigating risk through strong vendor governance and contract management.

You will partner with stakeholders and external vendors to prepare, analyze, and negotiate contracts, while supporting business units in vendor selection and ensuring contract obligations align with business requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish sourcing strategies for IT category(ies) with internal stakeholders.
• Conduct sourcing events and develop bid documents (RFP/RFI/RFQ).
• Develop, manage and report on category plans and performance metrics.
