Job summary

AAR in the United States is seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide business and technical leadership across IT development projects within Digital Technology and Analytics. Based at Wood Dale HQ with planned relocation to Chicago's Merchandise Mart in 2027, the role supports Agile and Waterfall methodologies and partners with multiple teams to ensure timely delivery.

The Senior PM will lead software development teams, mentor PMs, and coordinate Scrum ceremonies while driving risk

Qualifications

10 years of project management experience on complex software projects.
Certified Scrum Master Certification (CSM).
Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to analyze team progress and present executive-level findings with business impact.
Experience with Azure Cloud Architecture.
DevOps toolchain experience a must; PMP certification is a nice-to-have.
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Lead more than one software development team supporting multiple projects.
Mentor 2 to 3 project managers.
Schedule and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, identify risks, track dependencies and remove impediments.
Track team velocity and sprint progress; communicate with management.
Collaborate with Product Owner to prioritize the backlog and ensure right work order.
Provide leadership updates on measures, impact, roadblocks, and scope-change mitigations.
Work both remotely and onsite with diverse stakeholders across time zones.
Conduct post-mortems and retrospectives to capture lessons learned.
