Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an IT Process Engineer to lead IT service management initiatives across the Medical Center, aligning processes with ITIL and overseeing CMDB governance, service mapping, and ITAM.

You will partner with clinical and IT leaders to implement change, incident, problem, and release management, driving governance, data integrity, and continuous improvement. This senior role requires strategic vision and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field with four years of experience providing Tier I–III IT support within operations.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure management, including Change, Configuration, and Problem Management.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the strategic vision and serves as a senior technical leader in IT service management processes aligned to ITIL.
• Leads and delivers medium- to large-scale strategic initiatives with significant scope, risk, and organizational impact.
• Provides strategic direction to leaders, peers, and team members, ensuring alignment of IT service management with evolving business needs.
• Acts as a SME in IT service management strategies, policies, and methodologies, with emphasis on CMDB governance, service mapping, and IT asset lifecycle management.
