Job summary

Dollar General in Nashville seeks a Senior Portfolio Manager to own end-to-end portfolio strategy, planning, prioritization, and execution across IT domains. You will lead development of integrated roadmaps and oversee delivery by project managers, analysts and scrum masters.

You will drive governance, milestones and executive reporting, align with business partners, and mentor the PMO team to ensure on-time, on-budget value delivery across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Project and Portfolio Management, Risk and Issue Management across multi-year initiatives.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for influencing senior stakeholders across the enterprise.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• PMI, PgMP, SAFE, or similar certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Owns end-to-end portfolio strategy, planning, prioritization, and execution across multiple IT domains.
• Leads development of integrated portfolio roadmaps, including scope, financials, dependencies, and multi-year scheduling.
• Provides daily leadership to Project Managers, project Analysts, and Scrum Masters; assigns work and priorities.
• Oversees definition and approval of project charters, success metrics and milestones.
• Drives alignment with business partners, Finance, Engineering, and product teams to optimize delivery and value.
• Leads risk, issue, and dependency management across program and domain boundaries.
• Con solidates program information into executive summaries and dashboards.
