Job summary

County of Marin's Information Services and Technology (IST) Department seeks a Senior IT Project Manager to lead large-scale technology projects within the PMO. The role focuses on governance, delivery across agile, hybrid, and waterfall methods, and ensuring on-time, on-budget outcomes.

Reporting to the IT Manager of PMO, you will mentor staff, coordinate with vendors, and communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders while advancing public service delivery.

Qualifications

• Senior-level IT project management experience in a PMO.
• Experience delivering IT projects across multiple methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT project initiatives from initiation to closure.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, reports and dashboards.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Manage vendor contracts, budgets and delivery milestones.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align projects with goals.
• Provide regular status updates and risk assessments to leadership.
