This role goes beyond reporting: define what data to capture, build usable data structures, partner with IT stakeholders, and present insights to senior IT leadership to drive workload optimization.

Qualifications

• Senior-level Business Analyst/IT Analyst/Operations Analyst experience in a complex IT environment.
• Strong analytical skills, especially with incomplete or imperfect data.
• Experience defining data needs to answer business questions, not just reporting.
• Experience analyzing IT operational, service management, ticketing, workforce, or labor data.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing IT operational and workforce data to determine usability and gaps.
• Analyze work inside and outside ITSM systems.
• Translate business questions into measurable data requirements and approaches.
• Define data categories, fields, and structures for tracking IT activity and effort.
• Partner with IT stakeholders to improve data capture.
• Recommend dashboards and metrics for workload and labor visibility.
• Conduct discovery with IT teams to understand work practices across teams/locations.
• Identify trends and inefficiencies to drive improvements.
• Develop insights for IT leadership to inform decisions.
• Present findings to senior IT stakeholders.
