Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in Information Technology.
• 5+ years of experience managing IT staff.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial and open-source IT hardware, software, and services.
• Experience managing a matrixed workforce.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Long-term thinking and action planning.
• Current security clearance and DoD 8140 alignment (Security+ minimum).

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct IT-related activities across infrastructure, applications, networks, cloud services, virtualization, databases, backup and recovery, security, and compliance.
• Ensure continuity of computer, network, and application services through leadership and oversight.
• Align IT services with business processes and customer requirements.
• Perform technical analysis, estimation, architecture reviews, and budgeting.
• Forecast costs and resources for IT projects and operations; prepare budgets.
• Recommend and implement hardware and software upgrades for IT assets.
• Design and coordinate systems, policies, and standards to improve service delivery.
• Audit systems and maintain backup and recovery readiness.
• Identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement strategic solutions.
• Prepare short- and long-range system plans and oversee feasibility studies.
• Lead, mentor, and manage assigned staff including performance reviews.
