Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Server & Network Lead to design and operate cloud‑hosted compute and network infrastructure for mission‑critical workloads. You will architect environments on major cloud platforms, implement scalable networks, and ensure security controls and reliability across enterprise apps.

You will drive infrastructure‑as‑code, automation pipelines, cost optimization, on‑call reliability, and collaborate with security, application, and operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in systems, network, or cloud engineering with public cloud design/ops.
• Strong cloud infra skills: virtual networking, compute, storage, security groups, and load balancing.
• IaC and automation using Terraform or equivalent; scripting in PowerShell, Bash, Python.
• Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize for performance, reliability, cost; on‑call rotations.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust and U.S. citizenship for this remote federal IT position.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure architectures, including virtual networks, subnets, routing, and security boundaries for highly available apps.
• Configure and manage compute, storage, and networking services on major cloud platforms, ensuring secure, resilient environments.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code templates and automation scripts to standardize provisioning, configuration, and deployments across environments.
• Monitor and optimize cloud environments for cost, performance, and reliability; lead incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with application, security, and operations teams to integrate network and server designs with app requirements and security controls.
• Define and maintain standards, runbooks, and documentation for cloud infrastructure and change management processes.
• Evaluate new cloud services and automation tools to improve scalability and efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and informal leadership to engineers; promote best practices.
