Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7-10 years of IT experience.
• 5+ years of IT staff management experience.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical issues.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial and open-source IT hardware, software and services.
• Experience managing a matrixed workforce and cross-team collaboration.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to develop long-term action plans and apply new tech knowledge.
• Current security clearance and DoD 8140/ Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT activities across infrastructure, applications, networks, cloud services, virtualization, databases, security, and compliance.
• Ensure continuity of IT services through leadership, planning, and oversight.
• Align IT services with business processes and customer requirements.
• Perform technical analyses, budgeting, and milestone management for projects.
• Forecast and manage costs for IT projects and operations; prepare budgets.
• Recommend hardware and software upgrades for IT assets.
• Develop and coordinate IT policies, standards, and procedures.
• Audit systems, ensure data/network security, and backup readiness.
• Identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement improvements.
• Lead staff recruitment, performance reviews, and policy enforcement.
