Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. IT Network Engineer to design, implement, and troubleshoot large-scale wired and wireless networks across campus and data centers.

The role emphasizes NAC, 802.1X, and network automation, with extensive vendor experience in Cisco, Juniper, and Arista equipment. Qualifications include a STEM degree with 7+ years of professional networking experience, or 10+ years without a degree; CCNP/CCIE or equivalently recognized certs are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other STEM discipline.
• 7+ years of professional network engineering experience; or 10+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Expert understanding of the OSI model and network standards.
• Hands-on with Cisco Catalyst/Juniper/Arista data center switches and NAC 802.1X.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and troubleshooting of large-scale wired and wireless networks.
• Configure, install, and support campus and data center networks.
• Troubleshoot wired/wireless networking related issues.
• Support the deployment of network access control (NAC) using 802.1X.
• Develop and enforce network policies and standards.
• Plan and prepare project roadmaps.
• Develop network automation tools to support the enterprise network.
• Monitor network health and maintain documentation.
