Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. IT Network Engineer to design, implement and support our campus and data center networks, including wireless infrastructure. You will lead projects, enforce standards and develop automation, while ensuring reliable, scalable network services across SpaceX facilities.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of network experience, strong OSI knowledge, and hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper/Arista switches and NAC. CCNP/CCIE or JNCIP/JNCIE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering or related STEM with 7+ years experience, or 10+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Expert understanding of the OSI model and network standards.
• Hands-on with Cisco/Juniper/Arista data-center switches and NAC 802.1X.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation and troubleshooting of large-scale wired and wireless networks.
• Configure, install, and support campus and data center networks.
• Troubleshoot wired/wireless networking issues.
• Develop and enforce network policies, standards and roadmaps.
• Develop network automation tools and monitor health with tools.
• Maintain comprehensive network documentation.
