Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. IT Network Engineer to design, implement, and troubleshoot large-scale wired and wireless networks across campus and data centers.

You will contribute to a reliable, scalable infrastructure and support an expansive wireless network using standard design practices. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a STEM field (or 10+ years in lieu of degree) and hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper/Arista devices, NAC, BGP routing, and network automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or STEM with 7+ years of professional network engineering, or 10+ years without a degree.
• Expert understanding of the OSI model and network standards.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper/Arista data center switches and 802.1X NAC.
• BGP routing, DNS/DHCP, SNMP, IP helpers, ARP, CDP/LLDP; strong monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation and troubleshooting of large-scale wired and wireless networks.
• Configure, install, and support campus and data center networks.
• Troubleshoot wired/wireless networking issues.
• Support NAC deployment using 802.1X and enforce policies.
• Develop and enforce network policies and standards.
• Plan and prepare project roadmaps; develop network automation tools.
• Monitor network health with in-house and third-party tools; maintain docs.
