Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. IT Network Engineer to design, implement and support extensive campus and data center networks and a broad wireless network. The role emphasizes reliable, standards-based network design and ongoing automation efforts.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of professional network engineering experience or 10+ years without a degree, with strong OSI knowledge and CCNP/CCIE-type certifications being a plus. This on-site role requires availability for extended hours and weekends.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or STEM with 7+ years network engineering experience.
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
US citizen or eligible for ITAR compliance (e.g., green card, asylum/refugee status).

Responsibilities

Lead design, implementation and troubleshooting of large-scale wired and wireless networks.
Configure, install, and support campus and data center networks.
Troubleshoot wired/wireless networking issues.
Support deployment of NAC using 802.1X.
Develop and enforce network policies and standards.
Plan and prepare project roadmaps.
Develop network automation tools to support the enterprise network.
Monitor network health and maintain documentation.
