Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental seeks an IT Network Administrator II to join our IT team in Somerville, MA. The role focuses on owning and evolving our enterprise network, including security, WAN/LAN, and cloud infrastructure.

The position reports to the Associate Director of IT Operations and starts onsite in Somerville for 90 days, then transitions to a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 remote) pending approval.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in enterprise network administration across multi-site environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Deep expertise in LAN/WAN/wireless networking and network security technologies; Fortinet/Aruba/Ubiquiti experience preferred.
• Experience with VMware and on-premises infrastructure environments.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the enterprise network environment, including firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure.
• Lead network design, upgrades, and optimization projects, including mergers and acquisitions integrations.
• Monitor network health, performance, and compliance using analytics and reporting tools.
• Serve as SME for VMware and SAN environments; lead Microsoft 365 and related platforms.
• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Mentor junior IT staff and act as a senior escalation resource.
