Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental in Somerville, MA is seeking an IT Network Administrator II to join our Information Technology team. The role is onsite for the first 90 days, then hybrid with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, pending approval.

You will own the enterprise network, lead upgrades and integrations, manage VMware and SAN environments, and collaborate with security and IT operations to strengthen reliability. A strong background in LAN/WAN and network security is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years IT experience, with 3+ years in enterprise network administration.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Deep LAN/WAN/wireless networking and security expertise.
• Experience with VMware and on-premises infrastructure environments.
• Industry certifications preferred (Fortinet, Microsoft, Cisco, VMware).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the enterprise network environment (firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers, wireless).
• Lead network design, upgrades, and optimization projects (including M&A integrations).
• Monitor network health, performance, and compliance with analytics tools.
• Serve as SME for VMware and SAN environments.
• Manage Microsoft 365 and related platforms.
• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Contribute to change management and documentation.
• Mentor junior IT staff and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with security and IT operations to strengthen reliability and security.
• Pursue certifications and continuing education (reimbursements provided).
