Job summary

The Massachusetts Teachers’ Retirement System is hiring a Network & System Administrator (Contract-to-Permanent) to oversee its enterprise infrastructure and cloud environments. You’ll work with Citrix DaaS, Nutanix HCI, Microsoft 365, and Azure AD while coordinating with vendors and leadership to ensure security and performance for ~125 staff.

The role emphasizes vendor management, security, and technical documentation, with a path to full-time status and a potential hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field required.
• Hands-on experience with Citrix DaaS/Desktops, AWS, or Nutanix HCI in production.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and SLAs; strong written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of networking basics (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, firewall) and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor cloud and virtualization infrastructure to ensure availability and security.
• Manage Citrix DaaS, Nutanix HCI clusters, and Microsoft 365 tenant services.
• Handle vendor engagements, tickets, SLAs, and performance evaluations.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and network diagrams.
• Support onboarding/offboarding and assist junior staff with troubleshooting.
