Delta Dental of Washington is seeking a Senior IT Internal Auditor to lead and support audits of IT systems, cybersecurity, AI, and other technology-enabled processes. You will assess governance, risk management, and controls and collaborate with teams to implement practical improvements that strengthen decision-making and protect patient data.

The role requires 6+ years in related fields and relevant certifications or willingness to pursue.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in internal audit, IT operations, cybersecurity, or related fields.
• Current certification or willingness to pursue after hire.
• Knowledge of risk frameworks and audit standards.
• Experience with IT controls, cloud, IAM, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform IT internal audits and assurance reviews.
• Evaluate IT general controls, application controls, and security controls.
• Conduct risk assessments for systems and IT projects.
• Identify control gaps and suggest pragmatic improvements.
• Collaborate with management to remediate issues and verify evidence.
• Perform audits per IIA standards and departmental guidelines.
• Participate in internal audit initiatives and governance activities.
