Job summary

Socket.dev Information Technology team seeks an experienced IT Manager to oversee the reliable day‑to‑day operation of the school’s technology services. You will lead enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, and identity management to support faculty, staff, and students.

You will manage Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Azure/Entra ID, Google Workspace for Education, and Zoom Phone, while ensuring high availability and security across the campus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Experience administering VMware virtualized environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and enterprise identity management.
• Experience with Cisco switching and routing networking and related technologies.
• Experience managing Microsoft Azure/Entra ID and Google Workspace cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles including IAM, MFA, endpoint security, SIEM, disaster recovery, and data protection.
• Experience administering Zoom Phone or comparable cloud-based phone systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary SME and administrator for the school’s enterprise infrastructure.
• Administer and support VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Google Workspace, and Cisco network infrastructure.
• Manage IAM, NAC, MFA, privileged access, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and disaster recovery, including remote VPN.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize network, server, cloud, and virtualization environments for high availability and security.
• Administer Zoom Phone/VoIP including provisioning, queues, attendants, licensing, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, incident response, audits, and data privacy compliance for K–12 context.
• Evaluate new technologies while maintaining security and stability of existing systems.
• Support UniFLOW Online cloud printing.
