Job summary

Yusen Terminals LLC in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Manager, IT to lead planning, implementation and management of information systems infrastructure across IT and OT environments.

Reporting to the General Manager of IT, the role requires at least five years in IT project or infrastructure management, strong Windows and Linux administration, data privacy knowledge, and experience in high-pressure, 24/7 settings at a maritime terminal.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in IT project or infrastructure management roles.
• 5+years’ experience in Windows, Linux system administration.
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• IT experience in Maritime technical operation, logistics or related industry preferred.
• Excellent written, collaborative and oral communication skills.
• Proven track record of maintaining IT structural integrity.
• Experience in high-pressure, 24/7 environments.
• Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products.
• Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks such as NIST and SOC-2 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and adhere to safety procedures.
• Develop and manage IT/OT infrastructure systems.
• Design short and long-term plans to meet capacity needs.
• Implement changes with uptime preservation during upgrades.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis across systems.
• Document system logic and maintain technical knowledge.
• Provide leadership to engineers including 3rd party staff.
• Manage expenses within the infrastructure area.
• Maintain maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
• Provide progress reports on current and planned initiatives.

• Perform other duties as required.
