Job summary

Yusen Terminals LLC (YTI) in Los Angeles seeks a Manager, IT to plan, organize, and manage all aspects of information systems infrastructure. You will oversee vendor management, implementation, maintenance, and system stability for IT and OT environments.

Reporting to the General Manager of IT, the role requires 5+ years in IT project/infrastructure roles, Windows and Linux administration, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced maritime setting. Competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in IT project or infrastructure management roles.
• 5+ years’ experience in Windows and Linux system administration.
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• IT experience in maritime technical operations, logistics, transportation, or related industry preferred.
• Excellent written, collaborative, and oral communication skills.
• Proven track record of maintaining IT structural integrity.
• Experience in high-pressure, 24/7 environments.
• Ability to research IT issues and products as required.
• Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of NIST and SOC-2 frameworks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and adhere to safety procedures.
• Develop and manage systems supporting IT and OT environments.
• Design short and long-term plans to ensure infrastructure capacity.
• Implement continuous improvements to prevent downtime during upgrades.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis across interconnected systems.
• Document changes and ensure full technical knowledge of all system phases.
• Provide leadership by directing and checking the work of other engineers.
• Manage expenses and control within the infrastructure area.
• Ensure maximum uptime and effectiveness of terminal operations.
• Provide progress reports on current and planned initiatives.
