Job summary

Yusen Terminals LLC is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead all terminal operations at terminal island, Los Angeles. The role requires strategic leadership, budget management, and a track record of driving performance in a maritime or manufacturing setting.

You will develop KPIs, oversee a team, implement advanced gate systems and emissions-reduction initiatives, and partner with the CEO and CCO to grow volumes and profitability while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of management experience in maritime or manufacturing, with ≥5 in senior leadership.
• Proven experience evaluating and implementing technology and automation to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational functions and drive strategic initiatives.
• Lead KPI development in safety, service, cost reduction, and efficiency.
• Develop annual budget with Directors and monitor performance.
• Implement technologies including an advanced gate system and near-zero emissions equipment.
• Report operational results to the Board quarterly and mentor staff.
